Trexum provides a range of training and development programs and consultancy advice for all your safety needs. This includes safety engagement training, leadership coaching, systems and strategy development, incident and risk management training.

Trexum is licensed to deliver the award-winning suite of Switch On programs from Actrua that will elevate safety engagement and positively impact safety culture and performance. Additional programs available cover Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principles awareness, courageous conversations, building resilience, learning from incidents as well as improving risk assessment and incident investigation skills.

Brian Selmes is the Director of Trexum. Brian has worked in Health and Safety for 28 years and held GM roles in a number of large organisations including BHP, Thiess, Snowy Hydro and Icon Water. Over the last 15 years, Brian has had extensive experience in presenting to Executive Committees and Boards.

Brian has been delivering safety leadership programs for 15 years and is licenced to deliver the suite of culture change programs from Actrua. Brian delivered and embedded the Switch On to safety program for Thiess, Snowy Hydro and Icon Water. This program demonstrated real cultural change across these organisations with an increase in safety engagement and a reduction in injury rates.

Brian has obtained Level 1 Coaching qualifications from the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science (UNE) and Graduate Diploma in Occupational Hygiene Science (Deakin Uni). Additionally he has completed leadership development programs at Curtin University and Mt Eliza Business School.
