Brian is the Director of Trexum. He has worked in the area of Health and Safety for 28 years and held GM roles in a number of large organisations. He worked in the fields of occupational hygiene and safety for BHP Mining in Papua New Guinea, Newman (WA) and the Hunter Valley (NSW). Following this he was the GM Safety for the Thiess mining business that operated 10 mines across Australia. 

Brian worked for 10 years in the lead safety role at Snowy Hydro Limited. Here he oversaw the initial certification to AS4801, implemented a behavioural safety program and worked on various projects including cloud seeding and application for self-insurance for workers compensation. Recently he concluded a six-year term as GM Health and Safety at Icon Water in the ACT. Over the last 15 years, Brian has had extensive experience in presenting to Executive Committees and Boards.

Trexum is licensed to deliver the suite of culture change programs from Actrua, called Switch On. Brian delivered and embedded the Switch On to safety program for Thiess, Snowy Hydro and Icon Water. This program demonstrated real cultural change across these organisations with an increase in safety engagement and a reduction in injury rates.
