Switch On engagement workshops will:

  • Create a shared belief across your entire organisation that all incidents are preventable
  • Enable participants to see how they can contribute to safe outcomes
  • Facilitate visible felt leadership in health and safety
  • Equip participants with the skills and expertise to positively influence others
  • Provide participants with the confidence and techniques to intervene if they see unsafe acts and conditions
  • Encourage participants to recognise and acknowledge others when they see safe acts and conditions
  • Increase awareness of hazard and near-miss situations and extend this awareness to the home and wider community
  • Create individual and team safety action plans for your workplace

Switch On HOP

Switch On HOP workshops will:

  • Describe the Human and Organisational Performance principles and how these apply in the workplace
  • Recognise that good systems are one that have the capacity to fail safely
  • Appreciate that people are inherently prone to failure
  • Shift focus away from blame
  • Drive a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Switch On to Risk Management

The Switch On to risk management program can be very effective if run after the initial Switch On safety engagement program or it can be run stand alone. This program will:

  • Reinforce a shared belief across your entire organisation that good risk management can prevent incidents from occurring
  • Allow participants to become proficient in assessing risks in the workplace
  • Demonstrate the important reasons to undertake a good risk assessment
  • Increase awareness around the importance of identifying hazards, assessing risk and selecting appropriate controls
  • Incorporate your organisations specific risk assessment tools into the program if desired

Switch On to Incident investigation

The Switch On to incident investigation program can be very effective if run after the initial Switch On safety engagement program or it can be run stand alone. This program will:

  • Reinforcing our shared belief that incident management and investigation is a crucial process in preventing further incidents.
  • Becoming familiar with the process and tools to help you manage incidents and investigate them
  • How to develop good corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Understanding the most constructive approach to asking questions and interviewing people

Switch On conversations

In order to improve your safety culture and performance it is important that everyone is able to intervene when they see an unsafe act. Switch On conversations will:

  • Provide participants with a useful model to approach safety conversations
  • Understand the key factors to get a good outcome and commitment form the conversation
  • Understand everyone’s accountability to intervene and have a conversation
  • Identify the potential pitfalls when approaching a safety conversation and how to avoid them

Learning from Incidents

This program will:

  • Explore the reasons and benefits of taking the time to learn from incidents.
  • Recognise the importance of story telling in sharing learnings and promoting action.
  • Introduce or refresh Switch On concepts and how to put them to work.
  • Explore the cause of incidents and the need to look past the obvious to find out what really happened.
  • Analyse how brittle the processes are that were involved in the incident.
  • Put theory into practice via case studies.

Building Resilience

This program will:

  • Define resilience and explore the 5P’s that help us build it.
  • Recognise that resilience starts with self-care, take a self-assessment and identify positive changes.
  • Learn about the power of positivity and how to develop a positive outlook.
  • Get participants to reflect on purpose and set realistic personal goals to work towards.
  • Introduce or refresh the Circle of Control and assess where participants are spending their time.
  • Practice being mindful and understand how being in the present supports resilience.
